I’m deeply concerned that the Commonwealth Government is pressuring states and territories to water down their bail laws at a time when youth crime and violent offending are on the rise. Queensland, the NT, WA and even Victoria are strengthening their laws because communities are demanding protection, yet Canberra wants to go the other way.
