Tony Dokoupil's interview with President Donald Trump scored a slightly average audience for CBS News. As the newly appointed "CBS Evening News" anchor interviewed Trump from a Ford factory in Dearborn,
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told CBS News that President Trump would sue the media outlet if it cut its 13-minute interview with the president, according to multiple news reports on Saturday.
The president told Tony Dokoupil "you probably wouldn't have a job right now" if Kamala Harris had won the 2024 election.
"The moment we booked this interview, we made the independent decision to air it unedited and in its entirety," CBS News said in a Saturday statement shared with The New York Times.
